OMAHA, Neb. - Fresh off the inaugural MIAA championship in women's golf, head coach #Tim Nelson# talks about how his players overcame challenging conditions in this week's Maverick Roundup, the official podcast of UNO athletics.
Nelson also talks about the coach of the year honors he received following the tournament and about the Division II West Regional the Mavericks are hosting at Ironwood Golf and Country Club on May 4 - 6.
Shot putter #Heather Minssen# also joins host Dave Ahlers to talk about the Mavericks' outdoor season to date and her own pursuit of a berth in the national championship. So far this season, Minssen has posted the fifth-best throw in the shot put in Division II track.
