CANTON, Ohio - The Maverick 800 yard freestyle relay team picked up a top ten finish at the Division II Swimming and Diving National Championships Friday evening on the campus of Lock Haven University in the C.T. Branin Natatorium.
Juniors #Laura Kemp#, #Cait Hopkins#, sophomore #Amy Bechdolt and senior Tessa Edwards# improved their time from 7:41.00 at the conference meet to 7:40.66 for tenth place in a field of 23 teams.
UNO improved to a team score of 20 points for 24th place. Defending Champion Drury University is in first with 473 points.
The fourth and final day of events kicks off Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. UNO will compete in the 100 yard free style, 200 yard backstroke, 200 yard breaststroke and the 400 yard freestyle relay.
