UNO Announces 2010 Soccer Schedule

2010 Schedule
OMAHA, Neb. - The University of Nebraska at Omaha soccer team will open the 2010 season on the road with two non-conference matches before conference play gets underway on its home field. The new schedule features eight home games, nine away games and one neutral site match.
UNO will open the season against Central Oklahoma on Friday, September 3 at 4 p.m. and follow with a 12 p.m. match with Midwestern State on Sunday, September 5. Both games will be played in Edmond, Okla.
The Mavericks will open at home when they begin Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play against Missouri Western on Thursday, September 9 at 3 p.m. at the UNO Soccer Field. UNO will play its first conference away game against the Truman Bulldogs, the reigning MIAA champions, on Saturday, September 11 at 4 p.m. in Kirksville, Mo.
Matches against Washburn (Sept. 16), Central Missouri (Sept. 19), Northwest Missouri during Homecoming week (Setp. 30), Emporia State (Oct. 7), Truman (Oct. 14), Southwest Baptist (Oct. 23) and Missouri Southern (Oct. 28) highlight the Mavericks' home schedule.
The road schedule has the Mavericks battling Southwest Baptist (Sept. 23), Missouri Southern (12 p.m.), Missouri Western (Oct. 9), Washburn (Oct. 16), Central Missouri (Oct. 21), Northwest Missouri (Oct. 30) and Emporia State (Nov. 6).
Head coach #Don Klosterman# returns to the UNO sideline for his 12th season, looking to guide his squad to a ninth-straight NCAA postseason appearance. Klosterman owns a 183-45-9 all-time record as the Mavericks' only head coach in school history.
UNO was 13-6-2 overall last season and posted a record of 12-2-2 in the MIAA, finishing second place behind Truman by two points.
