OMAHA, Neb. – The UNO women's tennis team finished a four-match week in fine fashion, sweeping league newcomer Lincoln 9-0 at Hanscom Park Indoor Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Mavericks improve to 5-6 on the year.

Juniors Traci Moklestad and Kelsie Olson kicked off doubles work with an 8-5 win over Camila Aruajo and Shelby Penno. Juniors Heather Hottman and Samantha Thomas then topped Alina Katrevich and Tierra Phillips 8-3, and junior Caitlin Christy and sophomore Amanda Henkel defeated Victoria Banks and Ashley Williams, 8-0.

In singles action, the Mavericks took five out of six matches in straight sets, beginning with Moklestad's 6-4, 6-2 win over Araujo. Olson then bested Katrevich (6-2, 1-2, (10-5)), and Thomas moved past Penno, 6-2, 6-0. Three Mavericks earned wins at the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 lines by the same 6-0, 6-0 score – Hottman over Phillips, Christy over Banks and junior Diana Dobey over Williams.

UNO returns to action on Saturday, April 2, traveling to Fort Hays State. The conference match is set for 9 a.m. in Hays, Kan.
