The Omaha women's soccer team (3-11, 3-1) hits the road for the final time this weekend for a pair of important conference matches. On Friday, UNO plays at Western Illinois at 4 p.m. On Sunday, the Mavs face IUPUI in Indianapolis at 11 a.m. (CT). Live stats will be available for both matches. With nine points, the Mavericks are tied for third place in the conference standings with Western Illinois, although UNO has played one less game. IUPUI is in eighth place with two points on the season. UNO has four remaining conference games, while every other team has three to play.
Series History
UNO and Western Illinois will be playing for the second time. The Mavericks defeated Western Illinois, 1-0, on Oct. 20, 2011 in Macomb. The Mavericks will be playing IUPUI for the first time.
Mavs on a Roll
After starting the season 0-10, the Mavericks have found their stride, winning three of their last four. Things immediately turned around once Summit League play started, and with a 3-1 conference record, the Mavs are right in the thick of the regular-season title race. Omaha is three points behind first-place Oakland with a game in hand.
Wampler Named Summit League Offensive Player of the Week
Freshman Hannah Wampler was named Summit League Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 8 after her five-point weekend. Wampler led the Mavericks to a pair of league road victories at South Dakota (3-2) and Kansas City (2-1). In the win over the Coyotes, the Lincoln Southeast product scored her first collegiate goal in the third minute to give Omaha the early lead. With just 20 seconds remaining and the score tied 2-2, Wampler collected the ball during a scramble in the box and fired it home for the match-winner and her second goal of the game. In the win over the Kangaroos, Wampler assisted on the match-winner as her corner kick found the head of Jordyn Braun. For the week, Wampler had a hand in three of Omaha's five goals. She is the first UNO women's soccer player to earn a weekly award from The Summit League.

UNO wraps up its season with two home games next weekend. On Friday, the Mavs host South Dakota State at the UNO Soccer Field at 3 p.m. On Sunday, UNO hosts North Dakota State on Senior Day at 2:15 p.m.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - UNO picked up its second Summit League win in a row with a 2-1 victory at Kansas City on Oct. 7. The Mavs (3-11, 3-1 Summit) have been on a roll of late, winning three of their four league games, including the last two on the road. Danielle Archuleta's goal in the 15th minute put the Mavs up 1-0 heading into halftime. Archuleta headed home a cross from Melanie McCormick at 14:43 for her fifth goal of the season. In the 61st minute, Jordyn Braun headed home a corner kick from Hannah Wampler for a 2-0 lead. Kansas City answered immediately in the 62nd minute, as Hannah Chadick beat UNO goalie Meaghan Clark to the right corner of the net to make it 2-1 UNO. Omaha finished with an 8-7 advantage in shots and a 4-3 edge in shots on goal. UNO also held an 8-5 edge in corner kicks.
Scouting Western Illinois
Western Illinois got off to a hot 11-2 start with wins in its first three Summit League games, but the Leathernecks enter Friday's game coming off back-to-back losses. WIU lost at North Dakota State, 2-1, and at South Dakota State, 2-0, last weekend to drop into a tie for third in the standings with nine points. The top scoring offense in the conference with 36 goals, WIU is led by Katie Condon's five goals and two assists. Sarah Hall has five goals and one assist.

IUPUI is 2-12-2 overall and 0-3-2 in conference play, putting them in eighth place in the conference standings. Ashley Doreski leads the team with four goals. Giselle Guzman has made 13 starts in goal and has a 1.73 goals against average and .815 save percentage. IUPUI ranks last in the conference with 10 goals scored this season.
