Mavericks Begin Kansas Classic

Day 1 Results

TOPEKA, Kan. – The Omaha swimming and diving team closed the first day of the Kansas Classic in sixth place at Hummer Sports Complex on Friday.

The Classic is one of UNO's first major competitions in NCAA Division I, pitting the Mavericks against Kansas, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa State and Rice.

The Mavs stand at 72 points behind Rice at 123. Kansas holds first place at 266 points, with Notre Dame following closely at 257. Nebraska is in third with 192, and Iowa State stands at fourth with 135.

The Kansas Classic continues through Sunday, Nov. 18.
