TOPEKA, Kan. – The UNO women's tennis team finished its slate of three weekend matches on Sunday afternoon, falling 8-1 to Southwest Baptist.

SBU swept all six singles matches and only dropped one doubles match on the afternoon. UNO's duo of junior Lindsay Weideman and senior Heather Hottman pulled off the sole win for the Mavericks at No. 3 doubles, 8-3.

Weideman also had a strong showing at No. 3 singles, falling just short in a tie breaker to Adrienn Kovacs, 6-2, 7-6, (7-2). In addition, freshman Jacqueline Baude and senior Caitlin Christy dropped their matches in tie breakers.
Nebraska Omaha returns to action on Thursday, March 29, facing in-state rival Creighton at Koch Tennis Center.
