Mavericks Add Game at Texas Tech

Complete 2012-13 Season Schedule
OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's basketball program has added a road game against Texas Tech to its 2012-13 schedule, head coach Derrin Hansen announced Thursday. The Mavericks will face the Red Raiders on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, Texas.
The matchup will be the Mavs' third game of the season and their first of two scheduled contests against Big 12 opponents this year, as they also face Iowa State on Dec. 9. Additionally, it marks the first meeting in school history between UNO and TTU.
In 2011-12, Texas Tech finished with an overall record of 8-23 and a 1-15 mark in league play.
“We are excited to add Texas Tech to our slate for this season,” Hansen said. “It will be a great experience for our student-athletes to be able to play in a Big 12 venue as we begin the road portion of our schedule.”
UNO opens its season on Nov. 9, hosting Northern Illinois at Ralston Arena.
