SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Senior Elizabeth Havekost and freshman Katie Kesti shot identical scores to lead the Omaha women's golf team to seventh place after the first two rounds of the Jackrabbit Fall Invitational at South Dakota State.
The Mavericks put up a team score of 659. North Dakota State leads the eight-team field with a 36-hole total of 619. Creighton is in second at 630, and Augustana is third, one shot back.
Havekost and Kesti both carded scores of 163 during the first two rounds, putting them in a tie for 19th. Sophie Peters was third for UNO and tied for 25th with a score of 166. Brooke Thilges was at 167 to rank fourth for the Mavs and in a tie for 28th overall. Melyssa Doerr completed the scoring for the Mavs with a two-round total of 179.
The final round is Monday morning at 9 a.m. at the Minnehaha Country Club.
