Normal, Ill. – The Omaha swimming and diving team returned to action Saturday after a one-day break, falling 207-90 at Illinois State.
Freshman Natalie Renshaw swam to first in two events, posting times of 27.20 in the 50 back and 24.35 in the 50 free.
Junior Maddie Hutt (31.56) followed Renshaw's events in competition and was narrowly out-touched by ISU's Morgan Buechele (31.53) in the 100 back. Hutt rallied with a win in the 100 breast, clocking a mark of 1:07.95.
The 200 free relay team, made up of Renshaw, junior Whitney Korgan, freshman Hannah Johnson and senior Anna Haxby, grabbed 11 team points for UNO after leading the field with a time of 1:39.90.
Omaha returns to action on Jan. 18, traveling to the Grinnell Invite in Grinnell, Iowa.
