Da Silva Claims Final Summit Weekly Honor

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha men's soccer center back Felipe da Silva was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday in the final weekly awards of the season.
It's the second weekly award this season for the junior defender. Da Silva had an assist on the Mavs' fourth goal of the day and played all 90 minutes in the Mavs' 4-0 shutout win over Fort Wayne on Saturday at Caniglia Field. Da Silva led a Maverick back line that did not give up a shot on goal in the match. UNO allowed just five shots total in the game in its second straight shutout and fourth shutout of the season.
The Mavs posted a 0.83 goals against average in six conference games to rank second in the league.
Denver's Zach Bolden was named Offensive Player of the Week.
