OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha swimming and diving team hosted its final home meet of the season on Saturday, falling to Northern Colorado, 170-124.
Junior Madeline Hutt won two events – the 100 breast (1:05.66) and the 200 breast (2:20.13) – to lead UNO.
Sophomores Jenna Foiles and Christen Young followed Hutt's example, taking the top two spots in the 200 fly. Foiles placed first (2:11.00), while Young came in second (2:12.94). Freshman Natalie Renshaw added another top finish for Omaha in the 100 free (53.72).
Senior Maddie Fosbender took second in the 500 free (5:17.78), and Young landed in third (5:25.41). Bergeron (4:44.54) and Young (4:48.61) took second and third in the 400 IM, while the 200 free relay team closed the competition with a runner-up performance (1:37.66).
The meet also marked Senior Day for five UNO seniors: Fosbender, Cami Hansberry, Chelsea Hartman, Anna Haxby and Katie Maier.
Omaha returns to action on Feb. 20 for the opening day of the Summit League Championships in Rochester, Mich.
