Mavs Add Five on National Signing Day; Announce Tr

OMAHA, Neb. - The University of Nebraska Omaha women's soccer program has announced the five high school seniors who have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Mavericks next fall.
The Mavericks' class comprises signees from five different states - Nebraska, Kansas, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota. In addition to the five signees, the Mavericks also announced the addition of Nebraska transfer and Papillion native Chelsi Rohloff, who played five games with the Huskers her freshman season before transferring to UNO. The 5-3 midfielder, a Papillion-La Vista product, will be eligible to compete right away this fall. She was part of four State Cup championship teams with Toro Soccer Club and was on the 2008 team that won the Region II championship.
Although UNO's class is small in numbers, it targets every position and will have an immediate impact on next year's squad in the Mavs' second season in The Summit League. Forward Ava Doetsch brings a goal-scoring touch to the Mavericks after amassing 117 career goals through three high school seasons so far at Our Lady of the Lakes in Clarkston, Mich. Doetsch was the leading scorer on Michigan's top club team and was a member of the Region II ODP team.
Goalkeeper Katie Larson brings an impressive resume with 17 career shutouts in 34 varsity starts at Carmel Catholic in Mundelein, Ill., with her senior season upcoming. The 5-9 Larson has a career save percentage of 0.88 with a goals against average of just 0.69.
Lauren Lawler and Emily Michaels will join the back line after standout prep careers. Lawler was the team MVP at Cretin Derham Hall in St. Paul, Minn., the past two seasons and was an all-conference selection. Michaels was a first-team all-Sunflower League and second-team all-region center back as a junior at Olathe Northwest last year. Her club team, Sporting Blue Valley, is coming off a Midwest Regional League Premier Division title.
Finally, Marian product Nyoke Dumba will bring her 5-10 frame to the Maverick midfield. Dumba was on Marian's state championship team as a freshman before participating and qualifying for state in track as a sophomore and junior. Dumba played club soccer with Omaha FC Elite 1.

Entering her senior season at Our Lady of the Lakes...in her first three years, was a first-team all-state, all-Catholic and all-league selection each year...scored 42 goals as a freshman, 37 as a sophomore and 38 as a junior for 117 career goals entering her final season...named one of the state's "Top 25 Soccer Players to Watch" by MIPrepZone.com...as a junior, helped the Lakers win the Catholic League and advance to the D4 state championship game...played club soccer for Michigan Football Club under coach Kevin Garner...was her team's leading scorer and helped MFC win the 2013 State Cup championship and qualify for the Region II National League playoffs...was a member of the Michigan ODP U-17 team and led her team in scoring and scored both goals in a 2-0 win in the ODP championship game...selected to the Region II ODP team...also was a state champion and all-state basketball player and participated in track in high school...born May 13, 1995 in Pontiac, Mich....daughter of Mark and Denise Doetsch...has one sister, Alexis, and a twin brother, Jake...plans to major in business/sports medicine.

Was an alternate on varsity as a freshman at Marian High School in 2010 and won the Class A state championship with the Crusaders...participated in high school track the past two springs and was a state qualifier while playing club soccer for Omaha FC Elite 1 under coach Becky Sanow in the fall...won the Nebraska State Cup in 2012 and went 1-1-1 at the Region II Championships, losing only to the semifinalist...also participated in cross country as a freshman in high school...born July 1, 1995 in Seattle, Wash....daughter of Joseph and Sabina Dumba...has two brothers, Bata and Anga...plans to major in biology or biochemistry.
