Three Mavericks Named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced the NABC Honors Court on Wednesday, and the list included three Omaha men's basketball student-athletes who excelled in the classroom in 2012-13: juniors Matt Hagerbaumer, John Karhoff and Caleb Steffensmeier.
Hagerbaumer holds a 3.645 grade-point average in business, while Karhoff carries a 3.663 GPA in journalism, and Steffensmeier has a 3.658 GPA in business. All three were members of the UNO Dean's List for Spring 2013, and this marks the first time they were named to the NABC Honors Court.
In order to be named to the annual Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, hold a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher and been matriculated at least one year at his current institution.
