Mavericks Announce 2013-14 Men's Basketball League Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. -- Coming off a strong Summit League debut in 2012-13, Omaha men's basketball coach Derrin Hansen announced the program's 2013-14 conference schedule on Wednesday.
The upcoming league slate will include a home and road game against each of the other seven teams in the conference for a total of 14 contests.
Omaha will open on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Western Illinois. The following week, the Mavericks travel to North Dakota State on Thursday, Jan. 16 and South Dakota State on Saturday, Jan. 18. UNO then hosts its first conference homestand at Ralston Arena with Denver on Thursday, Jan. 23 and South
Dakota on Saturday, Jan. 25, before hitting the road again for matchups at Fort Wayne (Thursday, Jan. 30) and IUPUI (Saturday, Feb. 1).
The Mavericks return for a three-game home stretch, starting with Western Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 8, then South Dakota State on Thursday, Feb. 13 and North Dakota State on Saturday, Feb. 15. A final road swing includes South Dakota on Thursday, Feb. 20 and Denver on Saturday, Feb. 22, and the season closes with two final home games: IUPUI on Thursday, Feb. 27 and Fort Wayne on Saturday, March 1.
Omaha returns eight letterwinners and four starters from the 2012-13 squad that went 11-20 with a 6-10 conference mark to finish sixth in the final league standings.
