Hansen to Speak at Iowa Energy Coaches Clinic

OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha head men's basketball coach Derrin Hansen will serve as a guest speaker at the 2013 Iowa Energy Coaches Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Hansen is one of six coaches tapped to speak at the clinic, and he will cover secondary break and quick hitters.
Joining Hansen on the docket are NBA Hall of Famer Alex English, Brian Van Haaften from Buena Vista University, David Arseneault from Grinnell College and Nate Bjorkgren and Bruce Wilson from the Iowa Energy.
The clinic will run 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Iowa Events Center, Room 107, at 730 Third Street in Des Moines, Iowa. Cost is $50 per person by Sept. 20 or $75 at the door, with lunch provided. The Iowa Energy are a professional basketball team based in Des Moines and are the NBA Development League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington Wizards. The Energy won a D-League championship in 2011.
