Mavs Picked Sixth in Summit Preseason Poll

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha women's tennis team has been picked to finish sixth in its second season of Summit League competition, the conference office announced on Wednesday. The poll was determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.
In the women's poll, Denver garnered six of seven first-place votes to total 36 points, edging out Fort Wayne's 31 points and one first-place vote. South Dakota State (25) finished third and South Dakota (20) was fourth. IUPUI (15) edged Omaha (14) for fifth while Western Illinois (5) rounded out the poll in seventh.
The Mavericks begin the season Jan. 23, hosting Southeast Missouri State at Hanscom Brandeis Tennis Center at 12 p.m.
