The Omaha men's basketball team (10-7, 0-2 Summit League) finishes its three-game road stretch this weekend, visiting South Dakota State on Saturday, Jan. 18. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. at Frost Arena in Brookings, S.D., and the game will be televised live on Midco, which is not available in the Omaha area. KOZN 1620 AM will carry the game live with Gary Sharp on the call, and fans can also stream the radio broadcast on their smartphones by downloading NRG Media's app “1620 The Zone.” Links to live stats, video and audio will be posted on OMavs.com
Scouting the South Dakota State Jackrabbits
South Dakota State enters the weekend with a record of 10-8 (2-1 Summit League) after a 64-55 home win over Western Illinois on Thursday. Cody Larson finished with a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan Dykstra led the Jackrabbits with 20 points, while Brayden Carlson added another 16.
Dykstra has topped SDSU with 16.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game this season. Three other Jacks average double-figure scoring: Carlson (14.9 ppg), Larson (13.6 ppg) and White (10.1 ppg). South Dakota State is led by head coach Scott Nagy, who holds a record of 351-216 over 19 seasons at the school.
SDSU leads the all-time series with Omaha, 37-27. The two teams last squared off on Feb. 28, 2013 at Ralston Arena, with the Jacks taking a 100-82 win, their second straight in the series. UNO last won in Brookings on Jan. 10, 2004 with a 107-104 overtime triumph.

Individually, senior center John Karhoff's .903 free throw shooting percentage has him ranked 16th among Division I players, and senior guard Alex Phillips is 35th with a .480 3-point shooting percentage.
