LAWRENCE, Kan. -- The Omaha baseball team saw its midweek series with Dartmouth evened on Wednesday, as the Big Green rallied for a 10-3 win at Hoglund Ballpark. The Mavericks are now 9-9 on the season, while Dartmouth improves to 2-6.

Duncan Robinson (1-1) earned the win, allowing two runs on four hits with three strikeouts and three walks in 7.0 innings of work. The loss was tagged to sophomore Sam Murphy (1-1), who surrendered three runs on four hits with a pair of walks and a strikeout in 3.0 innings of relief.

Sophomore Clayton Taylor finished 1-for-2 with a run scored and another driven in. Redshirt freshman Danny Suiter was also 1-for-1 with a run, and senior Tyler Splichal and junior Daniel Jewett each tallied a hit and an RBI.

Dartmouth was led by Bo Patterson, who finished 3-for-4 with a run and three RBI, and Matt MacDowell, who was 3-for-5 with a run scored. The Big Green also got two hits apiece from Matt Parisi, Joe Purritano and Michael Ketchmark. Thomas Roulis also scored twice and had three RBI.

The Big Green scored first with a run in the top of the first, but Omaha came back to tie at 1-1 it in the bottom half of the inning with Taylor's RBI double to right center that scored sophomore Alex Schultz from first.

The Mavericks added another run in the fourth when Taylor scored on Splichal's RBI single to center, making it 2-1.

Dartmouth rallied in the seventh, posting seven runs on seven hits with one Maverick error to surge ahead 8-2.

The Big Green added a run in the eighth and another in the ninth. Omaha keyed two hits in the last half inning for a run, as Suiter scored on Jewett's two-out RBI single to center. Dartmouth, however, shut down the threat with a final groundout, taking the game by a score of 10-3.

Omaha closes the series with Dartmouth on Thursday, March 20. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence, Kan., and a link to live stats will be available on OMavs.com.
