Omaha Caps Fall Season at ITA Central Regionals

STILLWATER, Okla. -- The Omaha women's tennis team capped its fall state at the USTA/ITA Central Regional Championships at Oklahoma State's Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Mavericks had a strong opening singles performance from freshman Janelle Wilson, who won her first match in the main draw. The Godfrey, Ill., native defeated South Dakota's Emma Kranendonk, 6-3, 6-0.
In doubles action, senior Molly Matricardi and freshman Kylie Boyer registered an 8-4 first-round victory in the main draw, defeating Oklahoma's Ann Pepper and Brooke Withrow.
Omaha opens the 2016 spring season on Jan. 18, visiting Kansas at 11 a.m.
