Moulton Named Second Team Academic All-American

DENVER, Colo. – Omaha's Mark Moulton has been selected to the CoSIDA Men's Soccer Division I Academic All-America® Second Team for the 2015 season.
In the classroom, Moulton is a business administration major, and owns a 3.98 grade-point average. He is a member of the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll and Distinguished Scholars List. Moulton is the first CoSIDA Academic All-American in the history of the Mavericks' program.
Moulton led the Summit League in shots this season from his midfield position. He was second in the league in total points (20) and tied for second in goals (7) and assists (8). The Creighton Prep product was twice named Summit League Player of the Week this season, as well as being named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week and the Topdrawersoccer.com Team of the Week.
Currently, Moulton is the programs all-time assists leader (18) and ranks second all-time in points (42), goals (12), and game winning goals (6). He has been twice named to the All-Summit League First Team and was named to the All-Summit League Newcomer team as a freshman.
"It is an outstanding accomplishment for an outstanding person," commented Head coach Jason Mims. "Mark is a great representation of UNO and he is very deserving of this honor as he is an exceptional student-athlete who has a bright future."
Moulton helped to lead the Mavericks to a 9-6-3 record and their first Summit League Tournament berth. He was also named to the league's all-tournament team
The national list includes three teams of 11 players each. Moulton was the lone representative from the Summit League.
The Academic All-America® program is administered by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
