Rohloff, Wampler Earn All-Summit League Honors

OMAHA, Neb. – The Summit League announced its annual women's soccer all-league awards Wednesday on the eve of its championship tournament. Two Omaha players earned all-conference recognition for their on-field performance.
Chelsi Rohloff and Hannah Wampler both were tabbed second-team performers. The individual awards and all-league teams were based on a vote by the league's head coaches.
Rohloff was UNO's top scorer this season. The senior from Papillion, Neb. totaled 15 points on the year with seven goals and an assist. She was the fifth leading goal scorer in the Summit League this season. Last season, Rohloff garnered first team all-league honors. She ranks 11th all-time in goals scored with 19 and 14th all-time in points with 46. Since the transition to Division I, Rohloff is the programs leader in assists, goals, and points.
Wampler switched from her normal spot on the Maverick defense this season for one in the midfield. She finished the season with two assists. Last year, Wampler scored three goals from her defensive spot and was tabbed as the Summit League Defensive Player of the Year. During her career, she tallied 19 points on eight goals and three assists.
NDSU's Lauren Miller was named Offensive Player of the Year while teammates Sierra Bonham was named Goalkeeper of the Year and Britney Monteon earned Freshman of the Year awards. Head coach Mark Cook garnered the Coach of the Year honor. Defensive Player of the Year went to Oral Roberts' Kaily Cox.
North Dakota State junior Cheyenne Garcia earned Player of the Year, while teammate Krista Menke took home Pitcher of the Year. North Dakota State coach Darren Mueller was named Coach of the Year for the fourth straight year.
