Klosterman Adds Hooi to Coaching Staff

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's soccer program has hired Adam Hooi as an assistant coach, head coach Don Klosterman announced Friday.
Hooi spent three seasons as an assistant coach for the Bellevue University men's and women's soccer programs. He has served for two seasons as the head boys' soccer coach at Elkhorn South High School. Additionally, Hooi was an academy director and coach for the Elkhorn Soccer Club since 2009.
"Adam will be an integral part and excellent addition to our staff," said Klosterman. "His coaching background and knowledge of the game can only help strengthen our program."
During his playing career as a midfielder for Bellevue University, Hooi was four-year letter winner and was a two-time all-conference selection. He was named the Bellevue University Male Athlete of the year in 2009.
After his collegiate career, Hooi played in the Premier Development League (PDL) for both the Des Moines Menace and the El Paso Patriots.
A native of Omaha, Hooi graduated with his bachelor's degree in sport management from Bellevue University in 2009.
"I am tremendously excited to work with this coaching staff and players," commented Hooi. "They have developed a particular culture that you can't help but want to be a part of. The program is rich with great people, who will undoubtedly drive this team to future success both on and off the field."
The Omaha women's soccer team is currently preparing for its spring soccer season. The first spring match is set for March 28.
