Men's Soccer Announce Spring Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's soccer program and fourth-year head coach Jason Mims announce the 2015 Maverick spring exhibition schedule.
UNO, coming off a 10-5-2 record and a share of the Summit League regular season title in 2014, will play a six-game schedule to give the squad some advance work for the 2015 season.
The Mavericks will begin their spring season on the road against the Oklahoma City Energy FC of USL Pro on Saturday, March 14. The Energy has partnered with Sporting Kansas City of Major league Soccer.
Omaha will host Midland University on Saturday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at Caniglia Field.
UNO will then hit the road for a pair of road games. On Saturday, April 4, the Mavs will take on Minnesota United FC of the North American Soccer League. Minnesota United features current United States Men's National Team player, Miguel Ibarra.
Omaha will face the University of New Mexico in Denver, Colo. on Saturday, April 18 at 6 p.m. (CT). The Lobos advanced to the 2013 Final Four before falling to eventual national champion Notre Dame.
The Mavs will wrap up the spring season with a pair of home games on Friday, April 24. UNO will host Northwestern College (IA) at 6 p.m. and Bellevue University at 8 p.m.
All spring home matches will offer free admission to all fans.
