Alihodzic Named Summit League Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Junior forward Fazlo Alihodzic was named Summit League Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for his performance during the season-opening weekend, Aug. 28-30.
Alihodzic collected his first career honor while making his Omaha debut. He scored a goal and added an assist for three points in two victories. In the season opener, Alihodzic set up the game-winning goal in 2-1 win over Kansas City. On Sunday afternoon, he beat four defenders to score game-tying goal in 61st minute in comeback victory over Pacific.
Omaha's 2-0 start is the best in program history and the Mavericks have won five straight games dating back to Nov. 8, 2014.
UNO hosts No. 20 UC Irvine on Friday, Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
