Shelton Named Academic All-Summit

OMAHA, Neb. – Senior goalkeeper Haley Shelton was named to the 2016 Academic All-Summit Team, the league announced Tuesday.
A standout academically, Shelton owns a 3.97 grade-point average working on her master's degree in business administration. She completed her undergraduate degree in finance, investment science and banking. Shelton has been a member of the Summit League Academic Honor Roll and Distinguished Scholars List, as well as the UNO Chancellor's Dean's List.
On the pitch, Shelton completed her Maverick career, leading Omaha with a 1.17 goals-against average and an .835 save percentage with four shutouts. She was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week three times. Shelton ended her career the program's all-time leader in saves per game with 5.78 and was second all-time in saves with 214.
