
Omaha Opens Summit League Slate This Weekend

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's tennis team returns home this weekend to open Summit League play, hosting Oral Roberts on Saturday, Feb. 27. The match is set for 9 a.m. at Miracle Hill Golf and Tennis Center.
Omaha last played on Feb. 10, falling 5-2 at Creighton. The Mavericks are now 4-4 on the season.
UNO was led at CU by junior Hylan Miller, who won at No. 2 singles and paired with sophomore Michelle Lo for a victory in No. 1 doubles. Miller's performance netted her Summit League Player of the Week recognition on Feb. 16.
Oral Roberts enters the weekend with a three-match win streak and a record of 5-6. The Golden Eagles' streak comes courtesy of victories against Grambling State, 6-0, 7-0 and 6-1. Jovana Antonijevic and Brenda Mercado Jove each have a team-best five singles wins, while the doubles teams of Mercado Jove/Valentina Gisbert and Antonijevic/Petya Simeonova own three doubles wins apiece.
Omaha returns to action on Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m., when it hosts Iowa at Miracle Hill Golf and Tennis Center.
