Weiler Named League Defensive Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Omaha defender Jacob Weiler was named Summit League Defensive Player of the week for his performance, Sept. 19-25.
Weiler earned his first career Defensive Player of the Week award and was part of an Omaha backline that registered a 1-0 shutout over a 5-2 Air Force squad to snap its four-match winning streak. He tallied his first career point with an assist on the game-winning goal.
The Mavericks are 3-3-3 on the season and host IUPUI on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. and Valparaiso on Monday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
