Mavericks Finish First Two Rounds, But Play Halted

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. – Play was suspended due to darkness on the first day of the UNO Invitational at ArborLinks.
The Omaha women's golf team had completed its first two rounds, posting a team score of 644 before play was halted.
Freshman Samantha Chong led the Mavericks on day one with a total score of 155 that included scores of 80 and 75. Megan Vetrovsky is second for UNO with rounds of 83 and 79 for a total of 162.
Another freshman, Sami Langford, is third on the team, one stroke behind Vetrovsky at 163. She shot rounds of 80 and 83 on Saturday. Mandy Boyle carded scores of 87 and 79 for a 36-hole total of 166.
Jordan York completed the scoring for the Mavericks with a line of 88-81-169.
The three groups that had not completed their rounds will do so at 7:30 on Sunday morning. The final round will follow at 8:30 a.m.
