Mavericks Rained Out at Drake

NORWALK, Iowa - Inclement weather scrubbed the final day of play for the Omaha women's golf team and six others at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Drake.
The Mavericks finished in seventh place in their final tournament of the fall with a score of 664 earned over the first 36 holes at the Echo Lake Country Club. Loyola was declared the winner at 629 with Western Illinois and Northern Iowa tying for second at 634.
Megan Vetrovsky was UNO's top scorer with a total of 162. Jordan York and Samantha Chong tied for second at 167, and Mandy Boyle was two strokes back at 169. Hannah Hunke finished the scoring at 177.
Sami Langford, playing as an individual, also shot 167 for the event.
The Mavericks return to action in the spring beginning with the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic hosted by College of Charleston on Feb. 25-27.
