Mavericks Release 2018 Women's Tennis Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Head coach Adam Summitt announced Friday the Omaha women's tennis team's 2018 season schedule, which features nine home matches for the Mavericks.
"We have a great, competitive schedule set for 2018," Summitt said. "I'm excited we were able to add some teams we've never seen before and that we're able to play in Omaha 10 times, including nine at home. It will present an exciting challenge for our team, and I believe they're up to the task."
Omaha opens the season at home with Milwaukee (Jan. 19) before hitting the road for a pair of matches at UMKC and William Jewell (Jan. 21). The following weekend, the Mavericks visit crosstown foe Creighton (Jan. 27).
Omaha then embarks on a six-match homestand, welcoming Missouri State (Feb. 2), Drake (Feb. 3), North Dakota (Feb. 4), Northern Iowa (Feb. 16) and Bradley and Doane (Feb. 17). The Mavericks finish the month of February with a neutral-site match against Iowa State (Feb. 24) in Lincoln.
A four-match road swing kicks off the month of March with matches at Colorado State (March 3), Northern Colorado (March 4) and Chicago State (March 9), plus a neutral-site tilt with Oakland at CSU.
The Mavericks host their final home weekend with matches on back-to-back days, featuring Western Illinois (March 17) and Oral Roberts (March 18). They close the regular season with seven straight road contests: at Valparaiso (March 23), vs. Grand Valley State (March 24), at Saint Louis (March 31), at Maryville (April 1) and at South Dakota (April 7), plus matches against Denver (April 14) and South Dakota State (April 15) in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Summit League Tournament, hosted by Denver, is set for April 27-28 in Denver, Colo.
