Ibisevic Named United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha sophomore forward Elvir Ibisevic was named the United Soccer Coaches Division I National Player of the Week it was announced by the organization Tuesday.
Ibisevic scored three goals in the opening 10 minutes of Omaha's 5-1 victory over No. 17 Virginia Tech on Sunday for the first hat trick in program history and the second-fastest hat trick to start a match in NCAA Division I history. He also added an assist in the game to set the team's single-game record with a seven-point performance.
Ibisevic also earned a spot on Top Drawer Soccer's team of the week.
As a team, the Mavericks checked in at No. 21 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Poll.
Omaha will travel to Texas later this week for a pair of matches in the UTRGV Invitational in Edinburg, Texas. The Mavericks will play Houston Baptist on Friday at 4:30 p.m. before playing UTRGV on Sunday at 7 p.m.
