Mavericks Tied For Sixth at Loyola

FLOSSMOOR, Ill. – The Omaha women's golf team is tied for sixth after the first two rounds of the Loyola Fall Invitational on Monday.
The Mavericks shot team scores of 331 and 322 in the first two rounds to sit at 653, tying them with Green Bay. Host Loyola leads the tournament with a score of 622. Butler is second at 630, and Montana is third at 637.
Megan Vetrovsky and Sami Langford are tied for the team scoring lead at 162. Both shot 83 in the first round and came back with cards of 79 in round two. They are tied for 20th in the field of 68 golfers.
Jordan York is two strokes back at 164, good for a tie for 29th. She shot 84 over the opening 18 at the Flossmoor Country Club and came back with a round of 80 in the afternoon.
Hannah Hunke and Samantha Chong tied for fourth on the team and knotted for 45th overall with tallies of 169. Hunke shot 81 and 88 while Chong fired an 85 and 84.
Mandy Boyle, playing as an individual, is tied for 38th with scores of 81 and 85 that have her at 166.
The final round is Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
