Mavericks Take Aim at Chip-N Club Invitational

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team returns to the course at the Chip-N Club Invitational at Nebraska beginning Sunday, Oct. 1 at 8:30 a.m.
The 54-hole event will feature 18 holes from Sunday through Tuesday at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln.
This is already the fourth event of the fall season for the Mavericks. They're coming off an eighth-place finish at the Loyola Fall Invitational on Sept. 19.
At Loyola, Jordan York led the Mavericks in scoring for the second straight event with a total score of 241. She finished in a tie for 18th place.
Megan Vetrovsky was second for UNO and tied for 28th in the field of 67 golfers with a score of 245 while Hannah Hunke posted a total of 249 putting her in a tie for 37th.
Sami Langford tied for 39th after shooting a three-round total of 250. Samantha Chong finished at 256 to tie for 48th place.
Mandy Boyle, playing as an individual, closed the tournament with a total of 248 to tie for 34th.
Following play at Nebraska, the Mavericks will finish the fall season at the Bulldog Invitational at Drake on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 9-10.
