Women's Tennis Releases 2019 Spring Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Head coach Adam Summitt announced the 2019 spring women's tennis schedule Monday, Oct. 22, which features 18 non-conference and 12 home matches.
The Mavericks play opponents from across 10 different states for the 2019 slate.
"Last year was a record-setting season for this program," said Summitt. "We look forward to building off that with a more challenging schedule this year. I am excited that we will have 12 home matches this season, which gives our supporters plenty of opportunities to see this team. As always, our goal is to make the year-end conference tournament and win it. I think this schedule will help us achieve this goal and am looking forward to January."
The Mavericks open play with two straight at home against Air Force on Friday, Jan. 18, and follow up with a Sunday, Jan. 20, matchup against Northern Iowa.
Four straight on the road follow at Wisconsin (Jan. 25), Milwaukee (Jan. 26), Bradley (Feb. 2) and Eastern Illinois (Feb. 3). The Mavericks return for another slate of two home matches against UMKC and McPherson College on Feb. 9.
Following the home contests, Omaha hits the road for another quartet of matches on the road. Omaha takes on SEMO (Feb. 16) and Missouri State (Feb. 17) in Springfield, Mo., followed by a pair of matches in Des Moines, Iowa against Iowa State and Drake from Feb. 23-24.
Two home matches follow against Chicago State and Marquette on March 2.
Omaha takes its talents to the west for its first Summit League match of the season against Denver on March 25, followed by its final two non-conference road matches in Los Angeles, Calif., against Cal State Los Angeles and Cal State Northridge from March 18-19.
The final six matches take place in Omaha as the Mavericks play host to Oral Roberts and Western Illinois for a pair of league matches March 29-30, which precedes an April 5 match against crosstown rival Creighton.
The final non-league match is April 6 against Southwest Minnesota State. Omaha concludes the regular season with Summit League contests against North Dakota on April 12 and South Dakota on April 17.
The Summit League Championships take place April 26-27 in Tulsa, Okla.
