Three Mavericks Collect Summit League Honors

OMAHA, Neb. – Three Omaha women's soccer players earned 2018 all-league recognition from the Summit League; the conference office announced Wednesday night.
Senior Susie Dineen earned a spot on the All-Summit League Second Team, and Ina Gudjonsdottir and Margaret Lavigne garnered Summit League All-Freshman accolades.
Dineen started 18 matches and logged 1,616 minutes at centerback this season for Omaha. She took 12 shots with five on goal.
Gudjonsdottir appeared in nine matches with eight starts in her freshman campaign. She finished with a 1-5-1 record and one shutout. Gudjonsdottir allowed a team-low 11 goals for a 1.27 goals-against average and made 37 saves for a .771 save percentage.
Lavigne was the only Maverick to start 19 matches and played a team-high 1,757 minutes as a central defender. She took seven shots with two being on goal.
Omaha opens the 2018 Summit League Women's Soccer Championship this Thursday, Nov. 1. The fourth-seeded Mavericks take on top-seeded South Dakota State at 3 p.m. at Fishback Soccer Park in Brookings, S.D. Links to live stats, video and radio are available on OMavs.com.
