Gordon, Siy Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

OMAHA, Neb. – Ed Gordon and Stevie Siy have been named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® 7 Men's Soccer Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Gordon, who has a 4.0 in Business Administration, has started all 17 matches this season for the Mavericks as a defensive midfielder. He enters Saturday's Summit League Championship final at Denver third on the team in minutes played (1,192) and averages 79.5 per outing. Last season, Gordon earned a spot on the Summit League Academic Honor Roll.
Siy, who has a 3.81 in Cybersecurity, has appeared in 13 matches including 12 starts this season. He is a two-year starter on defense and has three career assists. As a freshman, Siy earned a spot on the Summit League All-Newcomer Team and League Academic Honor Roll.
They were two of four Summit League players to earn Academic All-District recognition. Andre Shinyashiki and Destan Norman joined Gordon and Siy on the District 7 team.
Gordon and Siy and the other first-team Academic All-District® 7 honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if necessary) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
