SEDONA, Ariz. – The Omaha women's golf team sits in 17th place after the first two rounds of the Red Rocks Invitational on Saturday at the Oak Creek Country Club.
The Mavericks shot team scores of 331 and 335 over the first 36 holes. Host Northern Arizona leads the event with a score of 604. College of Charleston is second at 607, and Grand Canyon is third at 610.
Mandy Boyle leads the Mavericks in scoring after shooting rounds of 80 and 84 for a total of 164. She's in a tie for 62nd out of 94 golfers. Megan Vetrovsky is one stroke back at 165. She shot 82 in round one and came back with a card of 83 in round two. She's tied for 67th.
Jordan York is third on the team at tied for 73rd overall with a score of 167 that includes rounds of 83 and 84. Sami Langford is next for the Mavericks at 173. She shot 86 and 87 and is 88th overall.
Hannah Hunke sits at 176 for the tournament with scores of 92 and 84 in the first and second rounds respectively.
The last round of the 54-hole event begins at 10:30 a.m. CT on Sunday.
