Mavericks Earn 16th at Red Rocks

SEDONA, Ariz. – The Omaha women's golf team finished 16th at the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona on Sunday.
The Mavericks closed the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 323, their best of the event, to finish at 989. College of Charleston won the event with a score of 909. Portland State took second at 915, and Grand Canyon finished third at 921.
Mandy Boyle led the Mavericks in scoring and had the best card in the final round, shooting 79. She finished at 243, tying for 47th in the field of 93 golfers.
Megan Vetrovsky was second on the team and finished in a tie for 59th with a score of 245. She closed the event with a round of 80. Jordan York closed with a score of 84 and put up a total score of 251. She tied for 72nd.
Sami Langford was two strokes back at 253 for the tournament after shooting 80 in round three. She tied for 76th. Hannah Hunke closed the scoring for the Mavericks at 266. She shot 90 in the final round.
The Mavericks return to action at the Kansas City Shootout hosted by UMKC on Monday and Tuesday, April 9-10. It will be their final tournament before the Summit League Championships.
