Kapelevich Named Summit League Women's Tennis Player of the Week

OMAHA, Neb. -- Freshman Marie Kapelevich was named Summit League Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performances Feb. 27 to March 5, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Kapelevich garners her first career player of the week honor after winning her No. 3 singles and No. 3 doubles matches to help Omaha to a 4-3 victory at Northern Colorado on Sunday. The Antioch, Ill., native defeated Anna Battersby, 6-1, 6-4, in singles play, then teamed with Emily Behling to dispatch Battersby and Carrigan Blanchard, 6-4, in doubles.
For the season, Kapelevich owns a 9-2 singles record and an 8-4 doubles mark.
