Mavericks Take 10th at UTRGV Invitational

McALLEN, Texas – The Omaha women's golf team finished 10th at the UT Rio Grande Valley Invitational on Tuesday.
The Mavericks shot a final round team score of 314, their lowest of the event, to finish with a score of 957 for the 54-hole tournament. Texas State won with a total of 884. Texas A&M Corpus Christi was second with 905, and Sam Houston State was third at 915
Megan Vetrovsky led the team in scoring for the third time this season with a score of 234. She fired her second straight round of 76 to finish in a tie for 29th in the field of 74 golfers.
Jordan York was second on the team and tied for 38th overall with a score of 238 that included a final round of 78. Hannah Hunke was next with a score of 246. She closed the tournament with a round of 81 and tied for 53rd overall.
Sami Langford shot 84 on the last day to put her at 250 for the tournament, good for a tie for 62nd. Mandy Boyle finished the scoring with a round of 79 that gave her a total score of 254.
The Mavericks return to action at the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona on Saturday and Sunday, March 24-25.
