Wilson and Kapelevich Collect All-Summit Honors

OMAHA, Neb. – Junior Janelle Wilson and freshman Marie Kapelevich were among the 12 student-athletes named to the 2018 All-Summit Women's Tennis Team, the conference announced Thursday.
It marks the both athletes' first time collecting an all-league award.
Wilson, a native of Antioch, Ill., compiled a 13-5 singles record for the season, going 4-1 against league competition. In doubles play, she racked up a 13-6 overall record, including 11-2 from the No. 1 position with partner Michelle Lo with a perfect 4-0 mark against league foes.
Kapelevich, who hails from Godfrey, Ill., accumulated a 14-7 singles record in her inaugural campaign and went 3-2 in Summit League play. She and doubles partner Emily Behling finished the regular season at 7-5 from the No. 3 doubles position.
Omaha makes its first Summit League Championships appearance this weekend in Denver, Colo., opening play in the semifinal round on Friday, April 27 vs. South Dakota at 1 p.m. CT.
