Lo Earns Second Straight Academic All-Summit Award

OMAHA, Neb. -- Senior Michelle Lo was one of six student-athletes selected to the 2018 Academic All-Summit Women's Tennis Team, the league office announced Wednesday. The team is determined by a vote of faculty athletic representatives and sports information directors from the league's member institutions.
Lo graduated earlier this month with her bachelor's degree in aviation with a minor in business administration, carrying a 3.90 grade-point average. The Hong Kong, China, native was a member of the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll, Distinguished Scholars List and List of Academic Excellence, as well as the UNO Dean's List and Chancellor's List.
Lo was the only member of the Academic All-Summit Team who had previously earned the honor, as she also was recognized in 2017.
A three-time All-Summit pick, Lo became just the third player in school history to reach the 100 career wins milestone and finished 14-2 from the No. 1 doubles position earlier this season.
To be eligible for Academic All-Summit recognition, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of her team's competitions.
