Women’s Soccer Releases 2018 Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha head women's soccer coach Tim Walters announced his squad's 2018 slate of matches. The Mavericks' schedule features 18 regular season matches, including eight at Caniglia Field this season.
The 2018 schedule features teams from eight different conferences, including three teams that made the NCAA Tournament a year ago.
"We are excited about our 2018 schedule," Walters said. "We play some tough teams that had success last year. Three of our first four games are on the road against teams who made the NCAA tournament in either 2016 or 2017.
"Our conference road schedule features all four teams that made the Summit League tournament last season."

Omaha opens the exhibition season against Northern Iowa in Ankeny, Iowa on Aug. 6. The annual Black/White scrimmage is set for Aug. 11.
Omaha opens the season with two road matches, beginning Aug. 16 at Memphis in the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Mavericks then travel to Fayetteville, Ark. to play NCAA Tournament participant Arkansas on Aug. 24.
Creighton visits Caniglia Field on Aug. 27 in the Mavericks' home opener. Omaha then travels to Missouri State on Aug. 31. The Bears qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season.
"I'm happy to be hosting Creighton at Caniglia Field this season," said Walters. "I think it's a great match for the city of Omaha. I hope soccer fans and UNO fans can get to see what should be a good game."
Omaha hosts Green Bay (Sept. 2) and Southern Utah (Sept. 8) before returning to the road for games at Ball State (Sept. 14) and Illinois State (Sept. 16).
The Mavericks return to Caniglia Field on Sept. 19 when they host Drake. Omaha closes its non-conference schedule at UTRGV on Sept. 23.
The Mavericks open their eight-match Summit League slate with road games against Oral Roberts (Sept. 27) and 2017 Summit League Tournament champion Denver (Sept. 30).
Following the Summit League opening weekend, Omaha will play its next three at home. The first of three is a single-game weekend against Fort Wayne (Oct. 5) before hosting conference newcomer North Dakota (Oct. 11) and South Dakota (Oct. 14).
The Mavericks' final road trip features matches at 2017 Summit League regular season champion South Dakota State (Oct. 19) and North Dakota State (Oct. 21).
Omaha welcomes Western Illinois on Oct. 28 to close the regular season.
The Summit League Tournament is set for Nov. 1-3 at the Fishback Soccer Park in Brookings, S.D.
