Volleyball Travels To Missouri State For Exhibition, Hosts Black and White Scrimmage

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha volleyball team begins preseason play with an exhibition match on the road at Missouri State Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 3:30 p.m. The annual Black/White Scrimmage takes place Friday, Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. at Baxter Arena.
The Mavericks head to Springfield, Mo., to take on the Bears, who received votes in the national AVCA Coaches' Top-25 Poll. Following the road exhibition, the Mavericks will host their intra-squad match, which is open and free for the public to attend. Live stats for both matches will be available on OMavs.com.
The regular season officially begins a week later, as Omaha travels to New Orleans, La., for the New Orleans Invitational, Aug. 24-25 against New Orleans, Murray State and Houston. The home slate begins with the Omaha Challenge, Aug. 31-Sept. 1, against UMKC, UIC and UTEP.
