LaVigne Collects All-Summit Accolade

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Sophomore Margaret LaVigne earned a second-team All-Summit selection, the league office announced Wednesday evening.
It's the second consecutive season of collecting All-Summit honors for LaVigne after being named to the All-Summit Freshman team last season. LaVigne's selection is the eighth All-Summit honoree for the Maverick women's soccer program under the helm of head coach Tim Walters.
The St. Louis, Mo., native totaled three points on the season after scoring a goal in the season opener vs. Illinois State and dishing out an assist in a 1-0 victory vs. Grand Canyon while logging a team-high 1,674 minutes in 18 starts.
Earlier this season, she was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Mavericks to pair of shutout wins over Drake and Grand Canyon.
LaVigne helped anchor an Omaha defense that held opponents to one goal or less in 13 matches, including a quartet of shutouts.
