The Basics
The Omaha men's basketball team plays its final road game of the non-conference slate this Tuesday, Dec 17, visiting Eastern Washington. Tipoff is set for 8:05 p.m. CT at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. Eastern Washington has a record of 6-3 (0-0 Big Sky) after a 146-89 win over Multnomah last Friday at home. Mason Peatling scored a Big Sky-record 54 points -- with 34 in the first half alone -- and added 13 rebounds for a double-double. Jacob Davison had 21 points, and Kim Aiken Jr. earned his sixth double-double on 16 points and 22 boards. EWU also set Big Sky records for points (146) and field goals made (59) in the win.
Eastern was picked as the Big Sky's preseason coaches' favorite and was third in the conference's preseason media poll. Peatling and Davison were both Preseason All-Big Sky selections.
Head coach Shantay Legans has a career record of 42-36 in his third season at EWU.
