CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Omaha women's golf team moved up three places to finish in a tie for fifth at the Saluki Invitational on Monday.

The Mavericks posted a team score of 322 in the second round of the 36-hole tournament to finish at 651, tying them with Lindenwood. Host Southern Illinois won the event with a two-day total of 615. Indiana State was second at 620, and Evansville took third at 631.

Mandy Boyle led the Mavericks in scoring and tied for 12th in the field of 91 golfers with a score of 157. She closed the tournament with a team-low round of 77 on Monday.

Zora Gittens was second on the team and tied for 26th with a score of 163 that included a second-round tally of 79.

Sami Langford shot 84 to close the tournament, finishing with a total of 164. She tied for 30th overall.

Jordan York was 42nd overall after shooting 82 in the second round to put her at 168 for the event. Samantha Chong finished the scoring for UNO with a total of 173 that included a final round of 88. She finished 54th.

Hannah Hunke, playing as an individual, shot 85 to close the tournament, giving her a total score of 165. She finished 35th.

The Mavericks return to action at the Kansas City Intercollegiate at UMKC on Monday and Tuesday, April 8-9. It will be their final tournament before the Summit League Championship.
