RAYMORE, Mo. – The Omaha women's golf team is in 10th place after the first two rounds of the Kansas City Intercollegiate hosted by UMKC on Monday.
The Mavericks shot rounds of 331 and 315 and sit at 646 through the first two-thirds of the 54-hole event. Oral Roberts leads with a score of 580. Missouri State is second at 596, and Wichita State is in third at 604.
Jordan York and Sami Langford lead the Mavericks in scoring with matching totals of 160, good for a tie for 41st. York shot scores of 84 and 76 while Langford carded rounds of 82 and 78.
Zora Gittens is third on the team and 54th overall with a score of 164. She shot scores of 83 and 81 including an ace on the the par-three fourth hole during the second round. She's one stroke ahead of teammate Mandy Boyle who put up rounds of 82 and 83 for a total of 165. Â
Hannah Hunke rounded out the team scoring on day one with rounds of 89 and 80 for a total of 169. She's tied for 60th.
Samantha Chong, playing as an individual, is 59th after shooting scores of 82 and 86 for a total of 168.
The final round begins at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday from the Creekmore Golf Club.
