RAYMORE, Mo. – The Omaha women's golf team came in 10th at the Kansas City Intercollegiate hosted by UMKC on Tuesday.
The Mavericks closed the 54-hole event with a team score of 318 to finish at 964. Oral Roberts won the event at the Creekmore Golf Club with a three-round total of 879. Missouri State was second at 899, and Wichita State took third at 902.
Jordan York led the Mavericks in scoring with a three-round total of 239 that included a final round of 79. She finished in a tie for 34th.
Sami Langford was second on the team and tied for 48th overall with a score of 244 that included a final round tally of 84.
Zora Gittens and Mandy Boyle tied for 50th in the field of 67 golfers with matching totals of 245. Boyle closed the tournament with a round of 80 while Gittens shot 81.
Hannah Hunke finished off the team scoring with the low round of the day, 78, giving her a score of 247 for the tournament. She tied for 54th.
Samantha Chong, playing as an individual, shot 82 in the final round to finish at 250, good for a tie for 57th.
The Mavericks will now prepare for the Summit League Championship on April 21-23 at Newton, Kan.
